A Round-up of the Kreaverse
|
The promise that comes with a university journey is unparalleled, it is one of evolution, growth, liberty, humility and hope. As we close in on another term soon, pause and kick-off the next, the cycle continues - of generating knowledge, assimilating lessons, and application of learnings into facilitating change.
This week witnessed a kaleidoscope of events, straddling the arts and sciences. While the inaugural Krea Kalotsavam, hosted sessions, each as rich and vibrant as the other; Physics at Krea curated events that left participants starry eyed or tickled their brain cells. Bolt, Krea Sports extravaganza also unrolls today. Faculty continued to write chapters in research, students continued to enthusiastically push the boundaries of classroom walls and staff worked meticulously both in front and behind the scenes. This is the essence of Krea, spread into a mosaic created by the determination of each stakeholder within the university.
As we pack in news from another week in the Kreaverse, we look ahead to another phase of promises, of continuing to build a culture of sensitivity, empathy and critical thinking; and of questioning the status quo with courage and compassion.
If you have news to share with the Krea community, we invite you to connect with us at all.commsteam@krea.edu.in

SAHAS, the Adventure Club at SIAS recently concluded yet another adventurous trip to Seshachalam Forests. Here is an abridged account from Team SAHAS.
Ever imagined how lucky one must be to witness a sunrise, wildlife, forests, rivers, mountain climbing, and a sunset all on the same day? We experienced that on our unforgettable journey to Seshachalam Forests and Puligundu Rock Mountain on Sunday, 23 February. The trek started at 4.00 am, with 35 enthusiastic Sahasis, and by 10.00 am, we reached the breathtaking Seshachalam forests, eager to step into nature’s quiet beauty. We also visited Mamandur waterfalls to experience the calm water and beautiful locations. The trail was lined with tall bamboo trees, and a river flowed gently beside us. After an hour of walking, we came across a crystal-clear stream. Lunch felt like a reward for the morning adventure, inclusive under the one-day package; we had the delicious Andhra meal, which felt relaxing after trekking through the scorching heat!

But the real surprise was still to come. Instead of heading back to campus, the bus took an unexpected turn. Three hours later, we found ourselves at the foot of Puligundu Rock Mountain. Puligundu stood tall at nearly 1000 feet, resembling a Shiva Lingam from a distance. At its base lay the ancient temple of Puli Gunteswara. Following a tough climb and an even tougher descent, and a few dosa breaks, the team reached the campus at midnight, concluding an extraordinary experience of towering cliffs, breathtaking views, forests, rivers, starry skies—all bunched into an unforgettable memory.
